Welcome to the Upcoming Page! Here, you can learn more and get details on upcoming troop events like campouts.
For our campout in april, we will be running it diferently than the normal campouts our troop has. We will be leaving on saturday (April 12th), and when we arrive we are going to be visiting the USS Lexington, a WW2 era aircraft carrier decommissioned in 1991 and now a museum in Corpus Christi, TX. After that, we will be spending the night at Goose Island State Park, a state park in Lamar, TX, home to fishing opportunities on the Gulf, and Big Tree, one of the largest live oat trees in the US that is centuries old.
This year for our annual high adventure, the troop will be doing Seabase in St. Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands across two separate expeditions. While there, we will circumnavigate the Island of St. John, where we will be engaging in activities like sailing, snorkeling, fishing, and going ashore to explore Virgin Islands National Park, one of two national parks located in a territory of the US. If intrested, please visit this page to learn more about seabase.
For summer camp this year, we will be going to camp strake, a camp in Coldspring, TX that is home to ranges, a climbing tower, a lake, a pool, and many other activities. At summer camp, scouts work on merit badges during the day, and have fun activities later in the evening.
